About the Artist

Lea Greer is a pastel portrait artist based in Auburn, CA. She has been immersed in art since preschool and specializes in pet portraits.

Lea studied Psychology and Visual Arts at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. While there, she honed her skills in acrylic painting, charcoal drawing, and capturing photos in digital and film. Soon after her return to California, she displayed her various works at the Oakland Secret art gallery. In 2018, she enrolled in a black-and-white Panpastel class, where she learned the foundations of her current technique. She began experimenting with realistic color portraiture in 2020, adding pastel pencils to her arsenal of art-making instruments. 

After mastering human portraits, she took her first pet portrait commission this year and fell in love with the process.
